Funeral services for Calvin "Peanut" Cowart, Sr. will be held Tuesday, March 
31, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin. He will be laid to rest 
in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held 
at Ibert's Mortuary on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and 
again Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

A native of and lifelong resident of Franklin, Calvin passed away at the age of 
59 on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife Theresa Derouen Cowart; his mother, Leonise Cowart; 
three children, Faye Adams, Calvin Ray "Buster" Cowart, Jr., and Mary Ellen 
"Goat" Sinitiere; four step-children, Jeannie Millet, Angel Restrepo, April 
Cowart, and Reeva Estelle; one brother, Billy Wayne Cowart; one sister, Diane 
Marie Cowart Landry; his two beloved dogs, Baby Girl and Daisy; eight 
grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Cowart, Sr.; three brothers, 
Leston Cowart, Ricky Cowart, James "Boy-Boy" Cowart, Jr.; and one step-son, 
Brian Millet.

Serving as pallbearers will be Calvin "Buster" Cowart, Jr., Andy Sinitiere, 
Mike Adams, Ricky Adams, Jacob Cowart and Kalob Cowart. Honorary pallbearer 
will be Billy Cowart.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, 
Franklin, LA
