Arthur “Bay Boy” Davis Jr., 76, a resident of Houston, TX died Thursday, March 
5, 2015, at his residence following a short illness.

A musical tribute will be Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m., at St. Stephen Baptist 
Church, 305 Sixth St. in Franklin. Visitations will be observed Saturday, from 
8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Stephens Baptist Church.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
D. Johnson officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby (Wanda) Davis of Charlotte, NC, Athams 
(Pamela) Davis Sr. of Memphis, TN and Kevin (Janice) Davis of Houston, TX; four 
daughters, Patricia Sweet of Savannah, GA, Betty Bouie of Jeanerette, Pamala 
(Patrick) of Homestead, FL and Cassandra Brooks of Houston; four brothers, 
Isaiah (Matilda) Davis of Houston, Dr. Albert (Mary) Davis and Bishop Melvin 
(Clarissa) Davis, both of Charlotte, NC, and Alvin Davis of Miami, FL; five 
sisters, Helen Davis McDaniel of Dallas, TX, Mary Davis Francis, Irma Davis 
Mitchell and Juanita Davis Mitchell, all of Franklin, and Estelle Davis Howell 
of Charlotte, NC; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Wise Davis.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
