Doyle was the Owner of Jesse Fontenot Inc. Doyle was a veteran of the Army National Guard. A former LSU Offensive Guard and a lifetime LSU season ticket holder. A Sport Cars enthusiast, he owned Corvettes and custom Mustangs Doyle even painted his truck to match his new Mustang. Doyle gave back to his community and supported his church, he loved to cook for the every holiday he was known to prepare a feast but he never cleaned up, he left that up to Colleen and family. Doyle was "The Rock" of the family, he loved his family and encouraged them in every way he could. Doyle had a great love for people he helped whenever there was a need. Doyle was a kind and caring man, who had a hardy laugh. He will be missed by all those who were made better by knowing this great man. Doyle leaves behind to carry on his legacy his loving wife of 41 years Colleen Terry Fontenot, mother Rella Mae Fontenot, children Kelly Whittington, Jeffrey Fontenot and his wife Becky, adopted brother Wayne Lancon, grandchildren Jesse, Haley, and Tate Fontenot , Ethan and Lana Whittington. Sister-in laws Mary Ellen Citron and her husband Scott, Angela Louviere and her husband Rennie. Nieces and nephews Alaina, Joe, Tonya, Nicole, Beth, David and Ashley. Doyle was preceded in death by his father Jesse Fontenot, sister Sandra Metz Fisher, brother-in-laws Donald Metz and Doug Fisher, his father and mother in- law Harold and Virginia Terry. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 10 am until 12 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 12 pm. Doyle will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery. Pallbearers to serve are Jesse Fontenot, Ethan Whittington, David Barousse, Travis Ruffin, Cedric Wilson, and Rennie Louviere honorary pallbearer BC Fernandez, Logan Fromenthal, Dr. Melvin Bourgeois and Don Terry.
