Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1504.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Mary Catherine "Kitty" Oschmann Reed, 60, on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again Thursday from 12:00 PM until time of dismissal at 1:30 PM. Kitty was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend whose family was her world. A native of Franklin and a longtime resident of Lafayette, Kitty passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015, at her mother's home in Jeanerette. Survivors include her daughter, Chelsea C. LeBlanc and husband Brett of Walker; her three grandchildren, Layni, Austin, and Seth LeBlanc; her mother, Mary Margaret Arton of Jeanerette; her brother, William Kerry Oschmann of Zwolle; her sisters, Kellie C. Petitfils of Jeanerette, and Veronica Oschmann and Theresa Oschmann, both of North Carolina, her lifelong best friend, Yvette Dugas of Lafayette; her former husband and friend, David Reed of Lafayette; her nieces and nephews, Fonda Oschmann Doucet, Alex Oschmann, April Oschmann, Dylan Petitfils, and Caitlin Petitfils; as well as her beloved dog, Domi. She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" C. Oschmann; her maternal grandparents, Lionel J. and Mary L. Arton; and her paternal grandparents, William and Catherine Oschmann. Serving as pallbearers will be Kerry Oschmann, Brett LeBlanc, David Reed, Alex Oschmann, Dirk Doucet, and Jimmy Hawkes. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin LeBlanc and William "Bird" Bridewell.
