Gaydell E. Simmons, a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away 
on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the age of 83.

Those left to cherish Gaydell's memory are two sisters, Carolyn Sue Gaspar 
Sanford and Frankie Lyn Regan; numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces 
and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Roy "Mike" G. 
Simmons; her parents, Frank and Emmadell Gaspar Jr.; two brothers, Randle and 
Arthur Gaspar.

A natural caregiver, Gaydell was proud of her husband's work as a coach 
throughout the state. Although they had no biological children of their own, 
Gaydel and Mike touched the lives of many young athletes throughout the years. 

One of her greatest joys, was preparing meals for her family and friends. 
She will always be remembered for her Irish stew, which she cooked every St. 
Patrick's day.
