Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1505.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Jack Leon Benedietto on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Fr. Thomas Vu will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 AM until time of Mass. Jack, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, passed away at the age of 73 on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Jack was a longtime employee of the City of Franklin, retiring as a city clerk at the age of 63, following 33 years of dedicated service. He was actively involved in local youth athletics, especially baseball. A loving pawpaw to his two grandsons and a wonderful father to his three children, it was evident that Jack's passion in life was his family. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Survivors include his daughter, Tara Derouen and husband Scott; his sons, Leon Benedietto and Lance Benedietto; his grandsons, Nico and Teo Derouen; his sister, Agnes Benedietto; his former wife of 32 years, Althea Benedietto; as well as his nieces and nephew, Randy Benedietto, Roxanna Camporese and Cheryl Benedietto. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Bernice Tamporello Benedietto; an infant brother, Angelo Benedietto; as well as an adult brother, Angelo Benedietto.
