Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1505.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Sylvia Joyce Albarado Polaski, 80, a native of Morgan City and resident of Thibodaux passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at her home. Sylvia spent over 40 years in Catholic Education System with the Diocese of Houma/Thibodaux where she served as teacher and principal at Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary and as Asst. Principal at St. Joseph Catholic School in Thibodaux. Sylvia was a devout catholic who firmly believed praying her rosary at least three times a day especially while driving back and forth to Thibodaux. She enjoyed being able to touch the lives of so many children that she had the privilege of mentoring. Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Laurie Guillot and her husband, Chris of Addis; four grandchildren: Cammie Claytor, Shaun Guillot, Ren Guillot and Joseph Polaski; one great grandchild, Sylvie Songe; one daughter-in-law, Christine Polaski of Thibodaux; three step-grandchildren: Tim Aupied, Jason Aupied and Julie Fanguy. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Albert George Polaski; one daughter, Darlene Maria Polaski; one son, Joel Raymond Polaski; parents, Adam J. and Medora Albarado; three sisters: Evelyn Giandelone, Delores Coleman and Iris Welch along with one brother, Adam C. Albarado Sr. There will be a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church beginning at 10:30am until time of a Memorial Mass at 12pm. Sylvia will be inurned in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
