Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1505.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial for Robert Craig Sehon, 49, will be celebrated Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 12:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. He will be laid to rest in St. Andrew Cemetery in Amelia. Fr. Clyde Mahler will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM, led by the Knights of Columbus, Patterson Council 1710. Visitation will resume Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 9:00 AM and continue until time of Mass. Craig passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 10:52 AM at Teche Regional Medical Center, following a long, courageous battle with juvenile diabetes and chronic kidney disease. He was a native of Abbeville and long-time resident of Bayou Vista. Craig was a devoted, loving husband of 27 years. He was a father, a son, a brother, and a friend to so many people. Craig was a thirty year veteran of the Oil Field Industry, starting out in the galley and working his way up to crane operator / supervisor. He was an avid fisherman who loved crawfishing and shrimping. He enjoyed hunting, being at the camp, woodworking, and supporting his kids at sporting events. A Jack-of-all-trades, Craig could fix just about anything, including air conditioners and anything needing to be welded. Craig was a true friend to anyone in need. Craig will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. Craig is survived by his wife of 27 years, Karen Landry Sehon; his children, Heather Marie Sehon, Robert Joseph Sehon, and Hailey Michelle Sehon, all of Bayou Vista; his parents, Robert Donald Sehon and Mary Alice Sehon of Patterson; his sisters, Debbie S. Gaspar and husband, Tim, of Patterson, and Monica S. Machno and husband, Harry, of Duson; his parents-in-law, Donald and Gloria Landry of Bayou Vista; his sister-in-law, Sharon L. Legendre and husband, Paul, of Calumet; his brothers-in-law, Stephen Landry and wife, Debbie, of The Woodlands, TX, and Don Landry of Bayou Vista; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Craig is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maurice and Lillie Doré; and his paternal grandparents, Robert James and Rita Sehon.
