Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1506.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Dennis Fleming, Sr. on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Verdunville. He will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Father Thomas Vu will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at the church from 8:30 AM until time of Mass, with the rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, Mr. Dennis was a native and lifelong resident of Verdunville. He passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl F. Perry and her husband Bishop Charles Perry, Jr.; his granddaughter, Ashlee Fleming Martinez and her husband Jezer Martinez; two great grandchildren, James Emanuel Jones and Lillian "Lily" Alise Martinez; his brothers, Althamus Pellerin, Jr. and his wife Gladys, Cosmas Pellerin and his wife Sandra, Terry Pellerin, Sr. and his wife Lelia; two sisters, Faye P. Broussard and her husband Lawrence and Nancy P. Autin and her husband Joseph; sisters-in-law, Fannie Pellerin, Vera Thomas, and Roberta Landry; devoted nephew and niece, Kevin "Kello" and Tara Pellerin; as well as two devoted family friends, Allen Pillaro and Carolyn Fondren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Gertrude Paul Fleming; his son, Dennis "DJ" Fleming, Jr.; his daughter, Mary Fleming; his parents, Althamus Pellerin, Sr. and Lucille Boudreaux Pellerin; four brothers, Marvin, Frederick, Jack, and Arnold "Bud" Pellerin; and one sister, Margaret Fleming. Serving as pallbearers will be James Emanuel Jones, Cosmas Pellerin, Jezer Martinez, Allen Pillaro, Wayne Lewis, Ackoloy Paul, and Jessie Gathe.
