Ledoux, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2015, at the age 81. A native of Patterson, Louisiana, she lived in Baton Rouge since 1973. She enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, and piddling in her rose garden. She was a devoted and well-respected first-grade educator for 26 years and retired from La Belaire Elementary in 1990. She graduated with a B.A. from Nicholls in elementary education and received her master’s plus from LSU. She took great pride in molding the minds of her first-graders who entered her classroom and who she appreciated seeing mature into upstanding young adults. She never met a stranger and would walk up to individuals and carry on a conversation as if they were her friends. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Iray Ledoux; children Marque Ira Ledoux and wife, Eleanor of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Michael Craig Ledoux of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Jessica Ledoux and Alex Ledoux; brother Frank Cali and wife Wilda of Patterson; and numerous loving family, friends, and fellow educators. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cosimo and Nola Cali. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursdayat St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1011 1st St, Patterson, LA 70392, from 1 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Entombent will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Patterson. ===================
