Warren Joseph Fortier, died peacefully at his home on July 2 2015 at the age of 
90. 

He was born in Jeanerette, Louisiana and was raised there and in New Orleans. 
He attended St. Paul's School in Covington, Loyola University in New Orleans, 
and Southwestern Louisiana Institute, now University of Louisiana at Lafayette, 
where he played football on one of the great service teams of World War II. 
His Southwestern days led to a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine 
Corps where he proudly served for four years. 
He returned to Lafayette and trained with his father at Hub City Ford. 

In 1950, Warren came to Morgan City to become owner and president of Tri City 
Motors. In addition to the dealership, he formed Tri City Broadcasting, owners 
and operators of KMRC/KFXY radio stations, Tri City Leasing, Astro Credit and 
several real estate corporations. Warren was also one of the local businessmen 
who organized the Morgan City Bank and Trust sixty years ago and was the 
youngest member of its original board.

Warren also served as a past president of the local Rotary Club and member of 
the Chamber of Commerce. He was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church and 
supporter of Holy Cross and Central Catholic Schools.

Warren is survived by his wife of 48 years, June Kristicevich Fortier; three 
daughters, Kathryn Norman, Ann Kelly and her husband Pat, Renee Fortier; one 
son, Jaime Fortier. Five grandchildren, Heather Vallilee, Josh Kelly and his 
wife, Amy, Phil Kelly and his wife, Lesleigh, Jennifer Jackson and her husband, 
Clay, Grace Fortier, Macie Fortier; and fifteen great grandchildren; his sister 
Marcelle Fortier Citron as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Brown A. Fortier; his mother, Leita 
DeGravelle Fortier; and two brothers, Brown "Mickey" Fortier, Jr. and R. Jarvis 
Fortier.

Visitation will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, July 6, 
2015, beginning at 10 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at noon. 

Interment will follow at the Morgan City Mausoleum. 

Hargrave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church in Morgan City.
