Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1507.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Richard James "Rickey" Francis, 67, a resident of Berwick passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Rickey was born on July 31, 1947 in Morgan City, the son of Jarield Bernard and Myrtle Oliver Francis. Rickey enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting and fishing as this one of his favorites things to do. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Rickey was a welder and commercial fisherman for many years. He was involved in the seafood business doing everything from commercial harvest to wholesale and retail. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his long time companion, Mary Riley; two children, Jarield Francis of Katy, Texas and Brandy Francis Guillory and husband Arthur of Pineville; one step son, J.D. Thomas Jr. of Berwick; four grandchildren, Amber Francis, Alexis Francis, Jon Patrick Francis, Blake Giroir; one brother, Jon Francis and wife Dianna of Spring, Texas; one nephew, Sean Michael Francis; one niece Alison Paige Francis. Rickey was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Ava and Morgan Guillory. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Twin City Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Twin City Funeral Home with visitation resuming from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Entombment in the Berwick Mausoleum will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in Rickey's memory to the American Diabetes Association. ===================
