Jimmy passed away July 28, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Bayou Vista at the age of 64. Jimmy was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and generally anything to do with the outdoors. Jimmy was a boat captain and crane operator in the Louisiana Oilfields. A Star Trek fan 24/7... The word Trekkie was made for him. He loved his "groceries", especially his sister's Red Beans and Rice. Jimmy had an incomparable love for his only daughter and grandson, Destini and Aaron. Jimmy leaves behind to cherish his memories his only daughter, Destini Frederick Barrilleaux of Berwick, his grandson, Aaron Barrilleaux of Berwick, his brothers, Rodney Frederick and his wife Melinda of Bayou Vista, and Carol Frederick of Chauvin, his sisters, Amanda Frederick of Stephensville, Patricia Ashley and husband, Dean, of Ricohoc, and his four- legged companions Princess and Kalu. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Betty Frederick and his sister Melinda DiMatteo as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jimmy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Heart of Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to him during his last days. Also special thanks to his wonderful caregivers: his brother Rodney, his daughter Destini, and sisters Amanda and Pat. Jimmy spent his last months surrounded by family and friends and laughable memories. He will be truly missed. The family requested visiting hours to be observed Monday, August 3, 2015, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 9 am until 11 am. Funeral services were conducted at 11 am at Hargrave Funeral Home. Jimmy was laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
