Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1507.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Memorial services celebrating the life of Charles Harmon "Charlie" James, Jr., age 53, will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin. Rev. Dr. Chris Holloway of Little Pass Baptist Church will officiate the service. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in Red Hill, Mississippi at the Unity Baptist Church. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ibert's Mortuary on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Charlie was born in Grenada, MS to the late Charles H. James, Sr. and Sue Parker James, was a resident of Franklin for the past 31 years, and passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015, at his home. A loving son, brother, husband, and father, Charlie truly loved his family and friends and was the type of person who would do anything for anybody. He was a dedicated employee of Columbian Chemicals, having given 18 years of faithful service. Charlie was also an active "sports dad" during his son's school years, coaching Little League as well as helping with Hanson Memorial School Athletics. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was blessed with the talent of being able to fix anything. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Trisa Hebert James; his daughter, Alyssa Danielle James of Lake Charles; his son, Kade Charles James of Franklin; his mother, Sue Parker James of Duck Hill, MS; his sister, Naomi James Blount of Seeley Lake, MT; his father and mother-in-law, Humphrey and Carolyn Hebert of Franklin; his beloved dog and friend, Taz; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and other family members. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tom and Ruth James; and his maternal grandparents, Dunk and Ludie Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Parker, James Guidroz, Bill Keenze, Paul Windham Jr., Justin Parker, Randy Burke, John Sellers, Frank James, Sam Testa, Bobby Holly, Mark Firmin, Chris Hebert, and Brian Hebert.
