Rentrop were held Monday, July 20, 2015, during a 10:30 a.m. private inurnment in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum with Father Angelo Cremaldi presiding. Charles, a native and resident of Patterson, was born on February 20, 1926 to the late Eugene Oscar Rentrop and the late Annette LaMulle Rentrop. He passed away at the age of 89 on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Katherine Cary Rochel Rentrop; their children, John C. Rentrop and his wife Dawn, Linda R. Adams and her husband Joey, and Meg Rentrop; his brother, Ray Rentrop; his sisters, Barbara Guarisco and Peggy Rentrop; his son-in-law, Joe Tillmanns; seven grandchildren, John Eric Rentrop and his wife Tonya, Erin Rentrop Albert and her husband Ben, Anna Tillmanns, Katherine Adams, Joie Adams, Jeff Adams, and Drew Baugher; 11 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rochel Anne Tillmanns; two brothers, Teddy Rentrop and Dale Rentrop, Sr.; and one sister, Joy Comeaux.
