"Sonny" Treadway, Sr. will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin. Father Cedric Sonnier will officiate the service. Inurment will be held at a later date in Ville Platte. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert's from 10:00 AM until time of service, with the rosary being prayed at 2:00 PM. Sonny was born in Port Sulphur, LA on October 13, 1935 to the late Carley B. Treadway and the late Alzire Guillotte Treadway. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served from 1958 until 1962. He was loved by everybody and always had a smile on his face. He never met a person he didn't like and had a love of horses, music, and most importantly his family. Sonny passed away at the age of 79 on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the Franklin Health Care Center. Survivors include his wife of nearly 48 years, Evelyn Ann Pichoff Treadway; his children, Carley J. Treadway, Jr., Blanche T. Doucet and her husband Darrin, Aaron "Ronnie" Fontenot and his wife Shirley, Mike Polit, and Bonnie Smart and her husband Mike; his brother, Ray Treadway and his wife Roberta; his sister, Judy T. Guyote and her husband Huey; his sister-in-law, Connie Treadway; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carol Treadway; and a great grandson, Gage Nicholas King. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help alleviate final expenses.
