Charles Earl "Butch" Middleton, 75, a resident and native of Franklin, LA, 
passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2015 at 10:00 PM at the Our Lady of 
Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, LA.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday October 24, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 
12:30 PM at the Franklin High School Auditorium 1401 Cynthia Street, Franklin, 
LA 70538. The Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will conduct final rights at 
12:30 PM. Funeral Services will be begin at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Benny 
Druilhet, officiating the services. 

Entombment will follow funeral services in the Mausoleum Section of the 
Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, LA.

Dedicated to the community that he lived in, Charles was a Retired 
Educator/Principal of the St. Mary Parish School System, an elected official of 
the St. Mary Parish Council representing District 2 and a member of the Save 
Our Children Program. Charles also was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi 
Fraternity, Inc.

Known as "Butch" to all who knew and loved him, Charles leaves his legacy of 
love and reconciliation with his loving wife,  Edna Mae Middleton of Franklin, 
LA; one son, Donnie K. Middleton and his wife Danielle of Thibodaux, LA; one 
daughter, Damarra K. Middleton of Fort Polk, LA; two brothers, Ernest "Pete" 
Middleton and his wife Rosa of Oswego, NY and Kent J. Middleton and his wife 
Shirley of Pelham, AL; one sister, Dorric Middleton of Baton Rouge, LA; four 
grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, dear 
friends, former students and loved ones.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy John Middleton and Viola 
Pollard-Middleton and one brother, Murphy Lee Middleton.
