Funeral services celebrating the life of Beula Mae Fontenot Deshotel will be 
held Saturday, November 21, 2015, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou 
Vista during a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian burial. She will be laid to rest in 
Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson. Father William Rogalla will be the 
Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.

The family will receive friends at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson on Friday, 
Nov. 20, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 
7:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume Saturday at Ibert's at 9:00 AM until time 
of dismissal at 12:30 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Romero, Brett 
Romero, Nicholas Provost, Noah Provost, Todd Fontenot, Chad Fontenot, and 
Morgan Jo Romero.

Beula was born in Duralde, LA on October 24, 1934, the only child of the late 
Antile and Lelma Fontenot. She was a 50 year resident of Bayou Vista, where she 
passed away at the age of 81on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at her home.

Survivors include three daughters, Janice D. Gary and her husband Clebert, 
Marilyn Sue Pate and her husband Mike, and Phyllis Deshotel; two grandsons, 
Blake Romero and his wife Jennifer and Nicholas Provost and his fiancée Gracie 
Billiot; and four great grandchildren, Morgan Jo Romero, Brett Romero, Noah 
Provost, and Avyn Haggard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. 
Deshotel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1111 Lia St., 
Patterson, LA
