Visitation will be observed on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at New Zorah Baptist Church 604 Julia Street in Morgan City, LA, from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Terry L. Joseph, Sr., officiating the services. Burial will follow services in the Morgan City Cemetery in Morgan City, LA Memories of "Red Boy" as he was known to all will forever be remembered and cherished in the hearts of his loving wife, Alice G. Harris of Morgan City, LA; six sons, Lawrence Harris, Jr. (Cheryl) of Abbeville, LA, Warren Harris of Lake Charles, LA, Kelvin Harris of Houston, TX, Patrick Harris (Tasha) of Lafayette, LA, Alvin Irvin (Ina) of Patterson, LA and Harry Irvin of Morgan City, LA; four daughters, Rose Harris James (Milton) of Baldwin, LA, Catheryn Washington (Rogers) of Franklin, LA, Ruby Bartley of Morgan City, LA and Cheryl Howard (Jerome) of Houma, LA; one brother, Alfred "Caveman" Harris of Kentwood, LA; one sister, Joyce Harris-Matthews (Timothy) of Morgan City, LA; thirty grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Lawrence was preceded in death by his mother and father the late Rev. John & Marina D. Harris; four brothers, Allen Harris, John Harris, Albert Harris and Warren Harris; one sister, Daisy Harris; two children, Charles and Darlene Harris and three grandchildren. ===================
