Roy was born on January 25, 1923 in Morgan City, Louisiana the son of Dewey Vaughn and Amelia Vaughn. Roy was a kind hearted and gentle man who knew the value of working hard and providing for his family. He strived on a daily basis to teach and pass down his love of life to his family; who adored their father. He enjoyed dancing and telling stories up to the end of his life's journey here on earth. One of Roy's greatest joys was seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and be a part of his life. He will always be loved and missed by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his three daughters: Mary Vaughn of Pierre Part, Betty Hebert and husband Harry of Amelia and Darlene Gros of Morgan City; one son: Jerry Vaughn and wife Juanita of Morgan City; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; two brothers: Eugene Vaughn of Plaquemine and Russell Vaughn of Bayou Pigeon. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Vaughn and Amelia Berthelot Vaughn; wife, Enola Hebert Vaughn; two daughters: Annie Vaughn and Eve Vaughn; two brothers: Ory Vaughn and Ira Vaughn and one son-n-law, Michael Gros. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church beginning at 11am. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Twin City Funeral Home. Roy will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Mausoleum in Pierre Part. ===================
