Mercedell Reed-Williams, age 78, a resident of Patterson, LA and a native of 
Katy, LA., passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 12:30 AM at Teche 
Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be observed on Friday November 20, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 
funeral services at 1:00 PM at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, LA 
with Elder Donald Lanceslin, officiating the services. 

Burial will follow funeral services in the Shield Cemetery in Patterson, LA.

Memories of "MoMo" as she was known to the Patterson Community will forever be 
remembered and cherished in the hearts of her son, Leo Cormier (Barbara) of 
Patterson, LA; eight daughters, Eveline Dyer, Elnora Willis (Ethen), Agnes 
Willis (Leroy) and Rebecca Williams (Willie) all of Patterson, LA, Antoinette 
Watson (Isaiah) and Georgette Cormier (John Simmons) of Clarksville, TN and 
Debbie Henderson of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Wardell Reed, Sr. of Crowley, 
LA; three sisters, Beulah Christman of Crowley, LA, Myrtle Jackson of Sorrel, 
LA and Doris Favors (George Sr.) of Patterson, LA; thirty-three grandchildren, 
eighty great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, as well as a 
host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mercedell was preceded in death by her husband, George Williams, Jr.; father 
and mother, Lester Reed Sr. and Elnora Reed, three grandchildren, two great-
grandchildren, four sisters and seven brothers.
