On Christmas night, Bridget Meranto-Myrick also known to most as B.B. or just 
B, the daughter of Jerald Jules Meranto and the Late Donna Kay Aucoin Meranto 
received an offer she could not refuse. The offer included; a change in scenery 
that could not be beat, eternal happiness, GREAT health benefits, and most 
importantly B. was able to be reunited with the love of her life, Jerry Myra 
Myrick and her mother. B gained her wings at the young age of 44.

Bridget is also survived by her loving companion and friend, Tony Kimry; her 
three sisters, Alicia Meranto, Karla Meranto, and Angela Reynaud and her 
husband, Pete (Jon); seven nephews, Phillip, Roy, Jordan, Brandon, Anthony, 
Peter, and Jase; six nieces, Donna, Gabbie, Emily, Kenzie, Erin and Layne and 
her loving pets, Nash and Gracie. Bridget was not blessed with the gift of 
having children, but she mothered and adored her nieces and nephews as if they 
were her own.
Alongside her husband and mother, she was also reunited in heaven with a baby 
daughter, Ashley Nicole, and beloved pets, Buddy Ray and Whiskers.
A native of Morgan City, B. was a Morgan City High Graduate from the Class of 
1990. 

Immediately after high school, B. joined the Army National Guard, Charlie 
Company 199th Support Battalion, where she served as a Medic. After basic 
training, B. later relocated to Lafayette where she then enrolled in the 
nursing program at the University of Lafayette. While residing there, Bridget 
worked part-time at Schlumberger where she met her future husband, Jerry 
Myrick.

In 1998, B. graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor's 
of Science Degree in Nursing. She worked as an RN, primarily with 
cardiovascular patients, in Mississippi, Texas, and Oklahoma and also spent 
several years working as a travel nurse throughout the United States. 
B. lived for helping others, with her spirited infectious personality, which 
made her a phenomenal nurse deeply touching her patients.

B's time here on earth may have been short; however, the magnitude of the lives 
she touched was infinite and she will live on in the hearts of those who were 
blessed to know her. 
B. was a free-spirted person who loved deeper than most, and lived her life 
helping and doing for others who were in need whether it be family, friends, or 
even a complete stranger. 

Her interests were photography, writing, and poetry but her true passion was 
her unconditional love for her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and 
an abundance of true and loyal friends.

A time of visitation and remembrance will be held for B on Saturday, January 2, 
2015 from 10am until time of services at Hargrave Funeral Home. A celebration 
of B's life will take place at 2pm at Hargrave Funeral Home 

with military honors following in the Berwick Cemetery. 

Military Honors will be rendered by the East St. Mary Veteran's Funeral Squad.
