Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1512.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian burial for Vivian Naquin Walden, a native of Oaklawn Plantation and a resident of Franklin for most of her life, who passed away at the age of 92 on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Franklin Foundation Hospital. She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. kFather Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Rowdy Boudreaux, Harold Thibodaux Jr., Kale Delcambre, Tyler Gilley, Kane Boudreaux, and Koby Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Thibodaux, Ronnie Thibodaux, Jimmy Grow, and Michael Ancona. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at the church from 9:00 AM until time of service. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:00 AM led by the Catholic Daughters, Court Assumption. Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who lived life to the fullest. She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Assumption as well as a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Assumption. An avid gardener, Vivian also enjoyed being on the water and was also a wonderful cook. She worked closely with her husband in the family business and also cherished her years working with special-needs children as a school bus driver's aid for the St. Mary Parish School Board. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her son, Johnny Walden of Franklin; her daughters, Linda Walden Boudreaux and her husband Gary of Greenwell Springs, and Debbie Walden Von Werder and her husband Allan of Franklin; three grandchildren, Barbara Boudreaux Gilley and her husband Hal of Destin, FL, Rowdy L. Boudreaux and his wife Wendy of Franklin, and Angel Delcambre Higgins and her husband Joey of Charenton; seven great grandchildren, Cameron Gilley, Kale Delcambre, Tyler Gilley, Kane Boudreaux, Koby Boudreaux, Mckayla Higgins, and McKenna Higgins; three siblings, Emma Rochel and her husband Hale, Betty Grow and her husband Eddie, and Paul P. Naquin Jr. and his wife Sandra; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Walden; her parents, Paul P. Naquin Sr. and Edmonia Rosetta Guillotte Naquin; and three siblings, Ernest "Mike" Naquin, Harold "Bay" Naquin, and Goldie "Cricket" N. Thibodaux. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Mrs. Vivian's caregivers, Judy Alexander, Martine Alexander, Tammy Moore, Kimberly Colon, and Linda Naquin; the staff of Franklin Foundation Hospital, especially Christy Mayers and Norma Bodin, who were with Mrs. Vivian in her final hours; and Dr. Steven McPherson, for the loving and compassionate care given to their mother during her time of need.
