Dreyer Jr., born in Patterson and a resident of Morgan City passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Roger was 79. Roger is survived by his sister, Daisy D. LeBlanc; his two brothers, Randolph Dreyer and his wife, Hazel, and Larry Dreyer; two nieces, Donna L. Sobers and Susan D. Romero; four nephews, Larry A. LeBlanc, Dale A. LeBlanc, Daryl J. LeBlanc, and Daniel Dreyer and a host of great nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Vesta Leonard Dreyer; his parents, Roger Dreyer Sr. and Louise Comeaux Dreyer and one brother, Adolph Dreyer. When Roger graduated high school he entered the United States Navy, where he proudly served. After his dedication to his country, Roger delivered groceries to many offshore vessels. Later, he joined the Walmart team and there he became known as Mr. Walmart. Roger remained there until his retirement. Roger, along with his wife Vesta, was well remembered during the Christmas season for being Mr. and Mrs. Clause. Roger was known far and wide as the Master of the Corny Joke. The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 8:30am until time of services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place at 11:00 am. Roger will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery, finally reunited with his wife, Vesta. Military Honors will be rendered in the cemetery by the East St. Mary Veteran Funeral Squad.
