Rev. Lawless Gibson, Jr., 76, a native and resident of Gibson, LA, passed away 
peacefully at 4:55 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at 12:00 noon, on 
Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church located at 4928 North 
Bayou Black Drive in Gibson, LA with Rev. James Allen, Sr. officiating. 

Burial will follow in St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.

He was survived by three sons, Lawless Conrad Gibson, III, Cyrus Valen Gibson, 
and John Fitzgerald Gibson; six daughters, Hazel Denise Gibson, Quanda Sherell 
Gibson, Gail Quintell Gibson, Kema Lazette Evans, Melanie Gibson, and Yvette 
Turner; five sisters, Eloise Cannon, Mary and Barbara Gibson, Ella Banks, 
Carolyn Peterson; seven brothers, Lloyd, Sterling, Louis, Clyde, Paul and 
Robert Gibson, and Leonard Celestine; sixteen grandchildren; and sixteen great 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Micheal Gibson; parents, Lawless, Sr. and 
Hazel Coleman-Gibson; and a brother, Darryl Gibson.
