All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= JONES, PAUL EDMUND January 2, 1930 - January 8, 2016 Paul Edmund Jones, a native of Poyen, Arkansas and a longtime resident at Vacherie Plantation in St. Mary Parish, passed away at the age of 86 on Friday, January 8, 2016. Memorial services will be held by the family at a later date. Paul was one of twelve children born to the late J.F. Jones and the late Maude Sheppard Jones. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. Following his service in the Navy, Paul went to work for the Humble Oil Company. Later in life he decided to make a career change from the Oil Industry to farming and went on to become a great sugarcane farmer who knew the importance of being able to cultivate a variety of crops, including crawfish. A loyal friend, Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his son, Dr. Jeffrey S. Jones of San Francisco, CA; his daughter, Janet Jones Wusthoff of New Orleans; one sister, Mary Lou Wright; two grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Hill Jones; and ten siblings. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. US Navy ===================
