Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1601.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial for Angelo Joseph Tamporello, who passed away at the age of 65 on Sunday, January 31, 2016 following a lengthy and courageous fight with many health problems. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Fr. Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass with Fr. Angelo Cremaldi and Fr. Oneil Landry concelebrating. Serving as pallbearers will be Samuel Tamporello, Louis Tamporello, Alvin "Boone" Simoneaux, Craig Belew, Johnny Saichuk, and Donald Parro. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Robicheaux, Jimmy Chauvin, Kenny Miguez, Keith Landen, Keith LeBlanc, Carlin Lange, and Sal Petitio. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitations will resume Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption and will continue until time of Mass. A loving and devoted father and husband, Angelo was a born and raised in Franklin, was a former longtime resident of Dallas, TX, and was a current resident of Franklin for the past 23 years. He was a 1968 Graduate of Hanson Memorial School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Northeast Louisiana University (now UL at Monroe). He was a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Franklin Council 1420. Being an avid outdoorsman, some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking. His passion in life though was his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Christine Diamond Tamporello; his children, Anne Tamporello and her partner Nicolle Ruiz and Samuel Tamporello and his wife Megan; his brother, Glenn Tamporello and his wife Sandra; his niece/godchild, Jennifer T. Patin; and expected twin grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam A. Tamporello and Genevieve Marcotte Tamporello; and his infant niece, Amy Tamporello. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Ydell Washington for her loving care given to Angelo and to Journey Hospice for their support and care.
