Verna Marie Walker, age 56, a resident of Morgan City, LA and native of New 
Orleans, LA, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Morgan City Health 
Care at 10:27 PM.

Visitation will be observed on Thursday January 21, 2016 at the Jones Funeral 
Home 715 Sixth Street in Morgan City, LA from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 
10:00 AM. Evangelist Debra Taylor will officiate the services.

Memories of Verna will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters, 
Tameka Walker-Huntley (Isaac) of Morgan City, LA, Chenell Walker of Houston, TX 
and Claveyion Montgomery of Chalmette, LA; four brothers, Clarence Walker Jr., 
Gregory Walker (Andrea) and Joseph Walker all of New Orleans, LA and Edward 
Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Sandra Wright of New Orleans, LA; nine 
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other nieces nephews and 
other relatives and friends.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Walker and Cora Bachus-
Walker; a grandson, Dwayne Labeau and one sister, Patricia Griffin.
