Octavia Jenkins-Williams, 78, a native and a resident of Gibson, LA, passed 
away peacefully at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm on Saturday, 
January 23 at New Vision Family Worship Center located at 6036 West Main St. in 
Houma with Pastor Thomas Kitts officiating. 

Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Sabrina Williams; two sisters, Almeta Jenkins 
and Dorothy J. Bartley; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Williams, Jr.; son, Donald 
Williams; daughter, Dimple Williams; parents, Phillip, Jr. and Australia 
Mitchell-Jenkins; maternal grandparents, James and Hester W. Mitchell; five 
brothers, Herbert, Sr., Carter, James, Phillip and Henry Jenkins; and two 
sisters, Annie Mae Granger and Lou Bertha Jenkins.

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
