Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1602.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Patience LaFleur Bryant, 57, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center surrounded by the love of her family. Patience lived life to the fullest and was brave and courageous to the very end. Patience will be missed by everyone she has ever met, and she will forever live on in our hearts. Patience was born July 23, 1958 to Cedric and Rowena LaFleur. She was the baby of six children. Patience graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1976. She went on to graduate from Nicholls State University, and then, obtained her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Patience was many things to many people, but her proudest and most loved accomplishment was being a mother to her son, Joseph IV. Jay, as he is known, was the light in his mother's eyes. She loved him with all her heart and soul. She was known as “Aunt Pay” to more than just her nieces and nephews. Patience was also “Granny” to her fur babies, Pants and Mama Dog. To everyone she met, Patience was a friend. Patience will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her beloved son, Joseph “Jay” Bryant IV and his father Joseph “Rick” Bryant III; her companion, Cindy Kraft; her father, Cedric LaFleur; four sisters, Jolene LaFleur Holt and husband Jamie, Peggy LaFleur, Debby LaFleur Acosta, Monica LaFleur Acosta and husband David Sr., all of Morgan City. Patience was a fun and doting aunt to a multitude of nieces and nephews, but especially to her godchildren, Michael Baker, Jr., Alaina Leftwich Black, Lindsee Case, and Zoe Percle. She is also survived by her longtime best friend, Leslie Rosson, who was always there for her. Patience was preceded in death by her mother, Rowena Fusilier LaFleur; brother, Michael Stephen LaFleur; two brother-in-laws, Gary J. Acosta and Anthony Blanco; and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Simon LaFleur and Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Fusilier; her father in law Jospeh A. Bryant Jr and mother in law, Margaret Adams Bryant, and her fur babies Gabe, Shaffay, and Lady. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home. The visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial being held at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Patience LaFleur Bryant’s name to Central Catholic High School Girls' Athletics. ===================
