Funeral services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016, at the Church of the 
Assumption in Franklin during a 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial celebrating 
the life of Cathy Foster Fuhrer, a Jackson, MS native and a 52 year resident of 
Franklin, who passed away at the age of 57 on Thursday, February 25, 2016, 
following a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. 

She will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. 

The Very Rev. Jay L. Baker, Vicar General for the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux 
and Pastor of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, will be the Celebrant for 
the Mass with Father Lloyd Benoit concelebrating. A gathering of family and 
friends will be held Monday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 9:00 a.m. 
until time of dismissal at 12:15p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be David 
Fuhrer, Cory Fuhrer, W.B. Fuhrer, Teddy Deslatte, Ricky Bourque, and Shayde 
LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Parish.

Survivors include her children, James Anthony "Tony" Fuhrer II and his wife 
Mary Alice Fuhrer, and Rebekah Fuhrer; three grandchildren, Alline Kennedi 
Crappell, James Anthony Fuhrer III, and Spencer David Fuhrer; her parents, Dot 
Foster Rodriguez and Michael Rodriguez; her mother-in-law, Emily Fuhrer; five 
brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Anthony Fuhrer; her father-in-
law, Charles "Buster" Fuhrer; her maternal grandparents, Myrtis and R.P. 
Foster; and paternal grandparents; Lionel and Irma Rodriguez.
