Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1602.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Lester Lawrence Giordano, Sr., a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his residence. He was 74 years old. Known to many as Cajun Jack, Lester navigated the local Atchafalaya Basin and bayous as owner of Cajun Jack Swamp Tours. With a wealth of knowledge, all of his tours were given with great detail and care. Cajun Jack had a vibrant personality and had never met a stranger. Lester proudly served in the United States Army in the Big Red One as a gunner in the Vietnam War. He was also included in Central Catholic High School's Hall of Fame for all men's sports, for which he always ranked District and State. Lester is survived by his three children, Laura Giordano-Aucoin and her husband, Everett of Youngsville, Tiffani Morales of Lafayette, and Lester Lawrence Giordano Jr., and his wife, Janet of Memphis, TN.; his loving companion of nine years, Sydonia "Dawn" Hebert of Bayou Vista; four grandchildren, Annalise Morales, Abby Christopher Morales, Avery Giordano, and Brooke Giordano; his former wife, Nancy Giordano of Youngsville; one brother, Jim Giordano and his wife, Carolyn, of Huntington Beach, CA.; one sister, Andrea Blakeman and her husband, Frank Jr. of Houma; Dawn Hebert's children, Ronnie Estay, April Estay, and Scott Estay; and her nine granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew "Big Daig" Giordano and Jeanne Louise "Billie" Fremin Giordano; his brother, John "Jack" Giordano; his sister, Lucia Giordano and his son-in-law, Donald Morales. The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm with a rosary being prayed at 7pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lester on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with military services following in the Morgan City Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the East St. Mary Veteran Funeral Squad. Acting as pallbearers will be Scott Estay, Ronnie Estay, Everett Aucoin Jr., Abby Christopher Morales, Bobby Harp, Mark Bergeron, Shane Martin, and Meil Loupe. In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lester's name to Central Catholic High School's Athletic Program. US Army ===================
