Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1602.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Elaine Beadle Voisin (April 20, 1940-February 24, 2016), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones and entered into eternal rest at the age of 75. Elaine was the loving mother of three sons and a daughter and their spouses: Lt. Col. Jessie Voisin Jr and Lisa Conway Voisin of Sumter SC; St. Mary Parish Councilman Kevin Voisin and Becky Alleman Voisin of Morgan City; Mark and Amy Williams Voisin of Houma; and Donna and Dr. Ronnie Dimitri of Metairie. She was also the proud "Maw Maw" of five grandchildren: Kelsey, Hannah, Julianna, Peyton and Ryan. She is survived by three sisters and a brother and their spouses: Evelyn Percle of Irving, TX; Ellen and Lee Nelson of Berwick; Elrita and Bill Darce of Morgan City; and Kennon and Lorena Beadle of Madison, MS. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Loretta and her husband Doug Powell of Morgan City, Doris Chaisson of Morgan City, and Janice Voisin of Napoleonville. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Jessie Hiram Voisin, Sr.; her parents Junius and Theresa Beadle; her mother and father in- law Hiram and Elma Voisin; and brothers-in-law John Percle, Irvin Voisin and Lamar Chaisson. Elaine graduated from Morgan City High School, class of 1958. She was a homemaker most of her life and the former owner of The Tux Hut formal wear shop. She was a lifetime parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church and former eucharistic minister and bereavement committee member. She enjoyed reconnecting with classmates and friends, playing pokeno and dominos, and spending time with her grandchildren. Viewing will be Monday, February 29 from 9am to 11am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City, with a rosary recited at 10am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11am.
