Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1602.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin for Clayton Henry Waguespack Jr., a native of Jeanerette and a longtime resident of Franklin who passed away Monday, February 1, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert's from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 a.m. Henry was an automotive mechanic by trade, initially with Joe Hoy, and retired from Ray Gross Motors. In his earlier years he worked as a deck hand and eventually became a tug boat captain. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as camping, working on his boat, and spending time with his great grand-babies. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ophelia Domingue Waguespack; his daughter, Cheryl W. Adams and her husband Gary; his grandchildren, Natasha Heidbrink, Lacie Heidbrink and her husband Joey, and George Adams; his great grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Owen, Cullen, and Jacen; his sister, Maudry "Marty" Myers; and his brother, Clay Adam Waguespack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Henry Waguespack Sr. and Mary Broussard Waguespack; as well as by 13 siblings. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. ===================
