Irvin would have been 76 years on Wednesday. Irvin was a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for 39 years before retirement in 2004. Irvin was a proud member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church of Patterson. Those who knew Irvin could attest to him being the kindest, considerate, caring, and forgiving gentleman in the parish. Irvin, better known as IDay to his family, leaves to cherish his sister-in-law, Ellen Givens Crawford and her husband, Jack, of Conen, AL., and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, along with his best buddy, Landon Sir Dog. Irvin was reunited in heaven with his wife, his parents, Elvin Felix "Van" Aucoin and Aurelia Tardiff Aucoin, two sisters and their husbands, Marguerite and Preston Rodriguez, and Marie and LeRoy Foreman; his in-laws, Charles and Rachael Bosarge Givens; and his brother-in-law, Charles Givens Jr. Irvin was also reunited with his son, Irvin "Chico" Aucoin Jr. who tragically passed away in a sky diving accident on February 14, 1987 at the age of 23.
