Sharon was born on April 29, 1950 in Natchitoches the daughter of Jack Colton and Dorothy Marcelli Colton. Sharon's father was in the newspaper business and so she began working in the newspaper office at a very early age. She was raised in Franklin and moved to Morgan City when she was a sophomore in high school and that is where she met her future husband. She attended Nicholls State University and was the editor of the school newspaper and finished out her college years graduating from Louisiana State University. She worked for many years alongside her husband in the pharmacy as a licensed pharmacy technician. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Stephen Breaux of Morgan City; one brother, Mark Colton and wife Kim of Seal Beach Calif.; one sister, Rebecca "Becky" Fertitta and husband R.J. of Leesville; three nieces, Beau Colton, Samantha Colton and Carolyn Sutherland. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Colton and Dorothy Marcelli Colton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Noas Kerketta celebrating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday at Holy Cross Church. Following Mass Sharon will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
