Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1603.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Melba Stephens Kullerd, 75, a resident of Bayou Vista, went to heaven on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Houma. Melba was born on March 1, 1941 in Port Arthur, Texas, the daughter of Midford and Mavis Chance Stephens. Melba enjoyed playing the piano for her church and also taught local children piano for years; she started playing the piano at age 5. Melba loved children and she loved to teach them. She was a Christian school teacher, teaching many children in the area. She was a pastor’s wife and a wonderful mother to her three children and a wonderful grandmother to her three grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Ted B. Kullerd of Bayou Vista; three daughters, Cheryl R. Haynes and husband Timothy of Chattanooga, Tenn., Dana K. White and husband Gregory of La Habra, Calif., Erin R. Kullerd and fiancé Jacob Long of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Morgan Haynes, Caroline Haynes and Charlotte Grace White. Melba was preceded in death by her parents Midford Emmett Stephens and Mavis Chance Stephens. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with the visitation resuming at 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Castor Baptist Church Cemetery 2057 Slagle Rd. Leesville, Louisiana 71446. ===================
