LEWIS, ALVIN "HONDOO", SR.
October 14, 1954 ~ March 3, 2016 (age 61)

Alvin "Hondoo" Lewis, Sr., age 61, a resident of Jeanerette, LA and native of 
Four Corners, LA passed away on Thursday March 3, 2016 at 10:14 AM at the 
Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA.
 
Visitation will be observed on Saturday March 12, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 
funeral services 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1101 Main Street Franklin, 
LA. Rev. Arthur Alexander will officiate the services. 

Burial will follow funeral services in the Sorrel Community Cemetery in Sorrel, 
LA.

Mr. Lewis was employed with Davis Truck Service as a mechanic for the majority 
of his occupation prior to becoming disabled.

Memories of "Hondoo" or "Pops", as he was affectionately known to many will 
forever be cherished in the hearts of his wife, Glenda F. Lewis of Jeanerette, 
LA; one son, Alvin Lewis, Jr. of Austin, TX; two daughters, Latronya Brown 
(Corey) of Slidell, LA and Wauricka Lewis of Springfield, OH; two sisters, 
Brenda Joyce Lewis of Jeanerette, LA and Laurie Hardin (Arthur) of Nolanville, 
TX; three brothers, Marshall Lewis, Jr. (Phoebe) of Lafayette, LA; Kevin Lewis 
of Lawtell, LA and Keith Lewis (Serina) of Jeanerette, LA; seven grandchildren 
and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He now joins in glory with his parents, Marshall Lewis Sr., and Clara Arceneaux 
Lewis; and one sister, Mary Ann Lewis, one brother, Kenneth Wade Lewis.
