January 11, 1945 ~ March 15, 2016 (age 71) George "Jimmy" Romar, Jr., age 71, a resident of Jeanerette, LA and native of Waxia, LA passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10:50 pm at his residence. George was a Veteran of the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. After his service to his country, George received an Honorable Discharge. Visitation will be observed on Saturday March 26, 2016 at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Patoutville, LA., from 7:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM, with Minister Joel Green, Sr., officiating the services. Burial with Military Honors will follows services in the Mt Carmel Cemetery of Patoutville, LA. Memories of "Jimmy," as he was known to many, will forever remain in the hearts of his; two sons, Allen Romar (Denis) of Jeanerette, LA and Dwight Clark, Jr. of New Iberia, LA; three daughters, Michelle Clark, Christine Bell (Eric) and Crystal Clark of New Iberia, LA; one brother, Donald Ray Alexander of New Iberia, LA; seven sisters, Lois JeanLewis (Alkin) and Joyce Alexander both of Jeanerette, LA, Cathy Allen (Samuel) of San Antonio, TX, Diane Alexander of New Iberia, LA, Alberta Romar Toliver, Mary Lee Romar and Joyce Lloyd all of Houston, TX ; three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, thirteen grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. George was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy G. Romar; his parents, George Romar, Sr. and Elnora T. Alexander and three brothers, Herbert Alexander, Wilbert Alexander and Kenneth "Pop" Alexander. ===================
