WATSON, CHARLIE, JR.

The Rev. Charlie Watson Jr., 78, a resident and native of Franklin, died 
Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at 4:15 p.m., at his residence following a short 
illness.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., at St. 
Joseph Baptist Church in Franklin.

A Musical Ceremony will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, with burial 
rites read at 11 a.m. 

Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Baptist Church Cemetery. 
The Rev. Ronald C. Young will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Evangelist Rebecca Watson of Franklin; five sons, 
Jeronical Watson of Mason City, IA; Hayword Watson of Waterloo, IA; Christopher 
Peters of Plano, Texas; Harry Davis II; and Donald “Danny” Davis, both of Anna, 
TX; one daughter, Mechelle Watson of Waterloo, IA; one brother, David “Dave” 
Watson of Franklin; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
