She departed this life at the age of 55 on March 3, 2016 at Lafayette Heart Hospital at 1:00 AM. Anna was baptized at the St. John Baptist Church in Charenton, LA at an early age. Her relationship God never wavered and as she grew in age she also grew in spirituality. Her roots at the time of her passing were planted at the Walls of Salvation and Praise Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Charles Perry. She served her church and her pastor in many capacities: serving on the church board of directors, as an Armor Bearer for Bishop Perry and his personal driver on many trips, member of “One Sound” Praise Team, in which Anna created the name, member of the Pastor’s Aide Committee, and active in the Daughters of Hadassah Women Ministry. She became an ordained Missionary in 2010. Anna was a mother figure to many of the youth and young adults throughout the community. “Momma Q” enjoyed helping others, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was reared and educated in St. Mary Parish schools where she made many lasting friendships. Anna retired from Cypress Bayou Casino in October of 2014. Anna’s memories will forever be embedded in the hearts of her three sons: Eric Demond Collins (Tarvia) of Port Arthur, TX, Derrick White and Aaron White, both of Charenton, LA; her two brothers: Roosevelt White of Port Arthur, TX and Chris White of Jeanerette, LA; seven grandchildren: Malaysha Linden, Rahquavian Glover, Raequan Collins, Raeshaun Collins, Erin Desselles, Bri’anni Shaw, and Ashton Page, her children’s father: Alex Collins; two sisters in law: Eula Marie White and Shirley White both of Franklin, LA; one brother in law: Leonard Fusilier of Lake Charles, LA; nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Alma White; four brothers: James White Jr., Frank White, Charles White, and Earl White; and her three sisters: Elmer White Carter, Pearlie Mae White Fusilier, and Mary White Henderson; brothers in law: Burney Carter, Sr. and Wallace Henderson.
