WILSON, HERMAN 

Mr. Herman Wilson, 72, a resident of Franklin and native of Baldwin, died March 17, 2016, at 10:50 a.m., at Maison Teche Nursing Home in New Iberia following a short illness.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the church, with the Rev. W.J. Otis officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Kai-Lynn Verette of Franklin; three daughters, Gevetta Colar Hopes of Jeanerette and Spryng Wilson and Winter Wilson, both of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
