Morris Lee Givens, 68, a resident and native of Gibson, LA., former resident of 
Patterson, La.,  passed away on Tuesday April 26, 2016 at 10:00 AM at his 
Gibson residence.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home, 715 
Sixth St., Morgan City, LA., from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM.  

Burial will be in the Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson, LA.

Memories of Morris Lee will forever remain in the hearts of his four sons, 
Andrew Bogen of Gibson, LA, Tyrone Givens of Los Angeles, CA, Maurice Givens of 
Patterson, LA and Eric Givens of Lafayette, LA; four daughters, Rhonda Givens 
of Los Angeles, CA, Tyane Givens-Gray (Keith, Sr.) and Erica Givens both of 
Lafayette, LA and Erina Givens of Houma, LA; one brother, David Givens (Emmy) 
of Gibson, LA; eighteen grandchildren, two step children, Dawn Skinner-Paul 
(Keith, Sr.) of Patterson, LA and Tonie Sims (Ruben) of Lafayette, LA;  his 
former spouse, Diane Givens of Patterson, LA and a host of nieces, nephews and 
other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his two grandchildren, Brianna Dias and Eric 
Givens, Jr.; his parents, James Sr. and Flossie Gibson-Givens; five brothers, 
James Givens, Jr. Ernest Givens, Matt Givens, Lawrence Givens and Joseph 
Givens; four sisters, Albertha Givens, Jinnie Bea Givens, Lillie Myles and 
Annie Chapman; paternal grandparents, Matt Givens, Sr. and Jeanette Hall; and 
maternal grandparents, Steve and Anne Gibson.
