Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1604.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Vernon Stacy, 73, a resident of Jeanerette, LA and native of Four Corners, LA passed away on Saturday April 9, 2016 at the Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette, LA at 11:48 AM. Vernon was a Veteran United States Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge. Visitation will be observed on Saturday April 16, 2016 from 11:00 AM until funeral services at 2:00 PM at the St. John Baptist Church Four Corners, LA, the Rev. Dr. David Jones, Pastor and the Rev. Dr. Michael Williams will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the St. John Church Cemetery. Memories of Vernon will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Alma Jackson Stacy of Los Angeles, CA; four sons, John Tardy of Glenco, LA, Troy Stacy of Los Angeles, CA, Jarrel Stacy of Hawthorne, CA and Brandon Stacy of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Veronica Stacy Adams (William) of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers, William Stacy (Gloria) of Four Corners, LA and Alton Stacy (Joyce) of Los Angeles, CA; five sisters, Ernie Mae Crosby of New York, NY and Sarah Simpson, Annie Lee Jackson (Isaac), Bobbie Marks and Mary Alice Charles (Roland) all of Four Corners, LA; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Stacy, Sr. and Mariah Simms Stacy and five brothers, Wallace Stacy, Jr., Lionel Stacy, Melvin Stacy, the Reverend Donald Stacy and Albert Stacy.
