Father Bill Melancon will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Langley, Ryan Langley, Chet Battaglio, Scott Battaglio, Joshua Battaglio, and Kyle Battaglio. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitations will resume at 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Assumption and continue until time of Mass. Diane was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin until recently, when the onset of Alzheimer's would no longer allow her to be away from her daughters, who she has resided with for the past year and a half. Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who enjoyed working in her yard, relaxing on the bayou side, and spending time with family and friends. Many will remember Diane form her early years working at the Shop-Rite Grocery Store and later at Teche Federal Savings Bank, where she retired following 12 years of service. On Thursday morning, May 26, 2016, following a brief battle with lung cancer, Diane, at the age of 68, closed her eyes to this earthly scene and opened them to her Lord and Savior, to be reunited with family and friends gone before her. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughters, Lori Broussard Langley and her husband Chad, and Phyllis Broussard Watson and her husband Richard; five grandchildren, Christopher Langley, Mallory Watson, Ryan Langley, Blaise Watson, and Megan Langley; her sisters, Judy Battaglio and Kay Carter; her mother-in-law, Joyce Goulas Broussard; her sister-in-law, Margaret Fain; as well as three nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy "Phil" Broussard Jr.; her parents, Rene Landry and Thelma Ladoucer Landry; her sister, Gail Clement; and her father-in-law, Leroy P. Broussard Sr. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Heart of Hospice, Patrice LeBlanc, RN, Renee Sons, RN, and Dr. Gregory Riggs and staff, for their loving care and compassion, not only to Diane but also to them during their time of need. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, Franklin, LA ===================
