Lola "Kathy" Forbes was born January 23, 1949 in Bay Springs, Mississippi and 
passed away peacefully on May 15, 2016 in her sleep at home.

The perks of having children young is you get to love them longer. At least 
that's the theory. Unfortunately, life happens and it's unpredictable. As we 
part ways with another angel we are reminded of life. Kathy taught everyone 
she's touched to either love with all you have or to never love at all. Love is 
unconditional whether it's your spouse, your family, or your friends. In this 
life our biggest blessing is our hearts. Even if life is short it can still be 
sweet.

Kathy leaves to cherish her loving memories her significant other and beloved 
spouse of 16 years Don Thomson; three sons, Kelon Anderson and his wife Gail of 
Ovelt, Miss., Kenneth Forbes of Bayou Vista, Casey Forbes of Houma; two 
daughters, Laurie Schulmeister and her husband Frank of St. Martinville , 
Melanie Douet and her husband Clyde of St. Martinville; an additional honor 
Debbi Crawford; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Ray 
Flynt of New Orleans; host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son David "Jerry" Mensman; parents, Clarence 
"Doc" Flynt and Carrie Holden; two lifelong best friends, Debbie Helton and 
Jeannie Crosby; other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, 
May 20, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home.
