Gillen, a longtime resident of Franklin, passed away at the age of 32 on Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Denham Springs. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her son, Kris, whether it was fishing, being outdoors and on the water, going to festivals, or just hanging out. She worked in the hospitality industry, most recently at Cypress Bayou Casino and the Best Western Forest Inn. Survivors include her son, Jason Kristofer "Kris" Carr; her mother, Cheri Charpentier Gillen; her father, Kevin Lee Gillen; her maternal grandparents, Hillary and Rose Marie Lombardo Charpentier; her aunt and godmother, Jennifer C. Hanson; her aunt, Michelle C. Neuman and her husband Charles and their daughter Hillary Rose Neuman; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Red and Dorothy Gillen; her cousin, Katheryn Rose Hanson; and her uncle and godfather, Richard Hanson. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday at Ibert's at 11:00 a.m. and continue until time of dismissal at 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin, with Father Peter Emusa as Celebrant. A private inurnment will be held at the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, Franklin, LA ===================
