Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2016/sm1605.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== James Buster Nesmith, 84, a resident of Berwick, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Morgan City Healthcare Center. Buster was born on March 25, 1932 in Glade Water, Texas the son of James and Alma Dees Nesmith. Buster was a member of the Patterson Masonic Lodge , St. Mary Shrine Club and was also a past member of the St. Mary Parish Lions Club. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting ducks and deer. He enjoyed watching sporting events on television and was an avid fan and alumni of Southern Mississippi. Buster worked for Otis Engineering and retired after 15 years of service, then moving on to become a chiropractor obtaining his license in 1974. He worked as a chiropractor for 30 years in his Bayou Vista clinic on Southeast Blvd. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Eljean Carline Chauvin Nesmith of Berwick; five children, Darryl Chauvin and wife Jean of Patterson, Kirk Chauvin and wife Joy of Lumberton, Miss., Gilda Chauvin McBride and husband Wayne of Lafayette, Dale Chauvin and Wendell Chauvin both of Berwick; 16 grandchildren, Elizabeth Chauvin, Christopher Chauvin, Nicholas Chauvin, Carli Chauvin, Sarah Stuart, Rebekah Chauvin, Noelle McBride, Angelle Petersen, Brandi Zeman, Tori Chauvin, Gildon Chauvin, Donovan Chauvin, Khristin Marmolejo, Carri Jean Chauvin, Layla Legendre, Roy Watson; 19 great grandchildren. Buster was preceded in death by his parents James Nesmith and Alma Dees Nesmith; one sister, Bobbie Jean May. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Landry officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home and the visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Following services Buster will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum. ===================
