At the drop of a hat he was known to turn even the most mundane week night into one to be remembered just by being the brightest light in the room. If you were lucky enough to be a part of his world, you knew Matt would literally give you the shirt off his back. He loved and gave with all his heart to everyone he met. Matt’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceed the quantity of time in which one lives. Matthew was born November 1, 1993 in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Edward “Doody” and Julie Boyne. He was a resident of Patterson, La. He graduated from Patterson High School in 2012. Matt is survived by his parents, Doody and Julie Boyne of Patterson; brother, Mike Boyne and his wife Stephanie of Lafayette; sisters, Kelly Richter of Dallas Tx, Kitrena Spivey of Lafayette and Tiffany Summers of Lafayette. He was “Uncle Matt Matt” to McKenzie, Marley, Jackson, Parker, Daschel, Katherine and Baylin, all of whom he loved with all his heart. He is also survived by uncles, Larry Hobbs, Michael (Gail) Boyne and Shine Boyne; aunts, Linda (Jim) Oakley, Nanny- Helen (Henry) LaFleur, Brenda Green, Catherine (Abner) Tabor, Arlene (Jim) McKinney, and Marlene Boyne. He is also survived by his Parrain, Scott Green, and numerous cousins and friends that he considered family. He also leaves behind his fur brother and sister, Bear and Baby Girl, as well as his fur nephew, Pike. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, H.P. Boyne and Ruby Boyne; his Maternal Grandparents, Barney and Fannie Hobbs; Aunt Kathy Hobbs Sewall; and Uncle Dwight Boyne. Visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Wednesday June 22 from 5pm –10pm with a service at 7pm. Following his wishes, Matthew will be cremated. ===================
