Clausen, a native and lifelong resident of Verdunville, passed away at the age of 84 on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the Franklin Foundation Hospital. Everette was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the owner of Clausen's General Merchandise in Verdunville and was a 4th Degree member of the Centerville Knights of Columbus Council 4309. One of his favorite pastimes was dancing, but his passion in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Everette is survived by his wife of 59 years, Camille Carmouche Clausen; three children, Sena C. Morvant and her husband Hank, Ida C. Simon and her husband Joe, and John A. Clausen and his wife Susan; six grandchildren, Andrew Morvant, Michelle M. Samson and her husband Martin, Caroline Morvant, Matthew Simon, Alex Clausen, and William Clausen; four great grandchildren, Vince Morvant, Zach Mier, Josh Mier, and Camille Samson; three siblings, Wilrod Clausen and his wife Charlene, Calvin Clausen and his wife Raye, and Josephine C. Wiese and her husband Roger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, John Bernard Clausen and Ida Drago Clausen; three brothers, Harold Clausen, Louis Clausen, and Donald Clausen; as well as an infant sister. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitations will resume Monday, June 20, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville at 9:00 a.m. and continue until time of Mass. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at the church at 10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Ruben Primor will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Morvant, Matthew Simon, Alex Clausen, William Clausen, Hank Morvant, and Joe Simon.
